The SandboxAQ Residency Program cultivates the next generation of leaders, empowering early-career scientists, engineers, and innovators to tackle society's hardest challenges. Our residents, interns, and postdocs dive deep into transformative projects driven by Large Quantitative Models (LQMs).
Open to STEM graduate students, medical students, MBA candidates, undergraduates, and postdocs, the program brings together a global network of emerging talent and seasoned experts in a highly collaborative environment where unique perspectives drive impact. Participants receive mentorship and entry into an expansive, lifelong professional network. This is a space for ambitious ideas to take shape.
Our Residency Program welcomes top candidates from diverse fields, including:
AI · PHYSICS · CHEMISTRY · BIOLOGY · NEUROSCIENCE · COMPUTER SCIENCE · CYBERSECURITY · MATHEMATICS · ENGINEERING · DRUG DESIGN · FINANCIAL ENGINEERING · MEDICINE · BUSINESS

Accelerating the design of new therapeutics with quantitative AI grounded in physics and chemistry.

Predicting properties at the atomic level to unlock breakthrough materials.

Mapping vulnerabilities and optimizing resilience across digital infrastructure.

Enhancing autonomy and precision in GPS-denied and complex environments.

Improving diagnosis and treatment planning through advanced AI-driven cardiac signal analysis.
Residents and their SandboxAQ team can mutually arrange for either remote or on-site residencies at several locations globally. Residents focused on photonics hardware may be based at our lab near Stanford University in the Bay Area.
